What we believe
Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that there is no salvation apart from obedience to Him through His word — the Bible. That conviction is the whole reason this congregation exists, and it shapes everything we do when we come together.
We take the New Testament as our only pattern for the church: what it authorizes, we do; where it is silent, we are content to be silent too.
What we do
Worship, teaching, and one another.
When we assemble we praise God in song, we pray, we give as we have prospered, we remember the Lord's death in the Supper each first day of the week, and we are taught from the Scriptures. Between assemblies we care for one another, encourage each other, and help brethren in need.
Our work
Supporting preachers around the world.
For a congregation of our size, the largest part of our work is the support of gospel preachers. Northside has helped support roughly thirty preachers over the years — in the United States, India, the Philippines, Jamaica, Ecuador, Colombia, South Africa and across Europe.
Closer to home we teach classes in the local jail and in nursing homes, pay for the weekly Bible Talks broadcast on WRUS, and keep an open online study going on Facebook and YouTube.
