About this sermon
Before the rescue, Esther is a book about a court: a king who rules by irrevocable decree, a queen deposed for refusing to appear, and a young Jewish woman taken into a palace she did not choose. Part one lays out that world and the danger buried inside it, up to the moment Mordecai puts the question of who she is there for.
