About this sermon
Judges is a cycle that keeps repeating — the people forget, an oppressor arrives, they cry out, a deliverer is raised up, and it holds until he dies. This program surveys that pattern through the figures it produced, from Deborah and Gideon to Samson, and the refrain the book uses to explain the whole period: there was no king in Israel.
