About this sermon
Daniel splits neatly in two: six chapters of court narrative - the furnace, the writing on the wall, the lions' den - and six of visions about empires rising and collapsing. Both halves make the same point from opposite directions. Kings come and go, and the God of heaven sets up a kingdom that will not be destroyed. It is also the Old Testament book most often read alongside Revelation.
