About this sermon
Everyone knows the fish. The harder part of Jonah is the last chapter, where a prophet whose preaching worked sits outside a spared city and sulks about it. The book is less about a sea creature than about how a man of God handles mercy extended to people he would rather see judged - and it ends, unusually for the Old Testament, on a question instead of an answer.
