About this sermon
The opening stretch of Proverbs 6 pairs two things that rarely share a page in modern advice: getting free of a rash pledge made for a neighbor, and getting out of bed. Both are matters of following through, and the chapter treats urgency itself as a moral quality — go, hurry, do not give your eyes sleep. The ant, working without an overseer, becomes the quiet standard.
