About this sermon
John is the Gospel most often handed to a new reader, and the one whose purpose is stated most plainly: these things are written that you may believe. This first look at the book introduces its author, its distinctive shape, and the way it makes its claim about Jesus in the opening verse rather than building toward it. It follows the earlier Saturday programs on Matthew, Mark and Luke.
