About this sermon
Late in Proverbs 3 the counsel turns outward: do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to give it. Good is treated as something owed and deliverable rather than merely admirable, and delay — come back tomorrow — is named as a failure in its own right. The chapter closes by setting the Lord's blessing on the just against what falls on the scorner.
