About this sermon
Proverbs 6 moves from a portrait of the worthless troublemaker into a short and blunt list: six things the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him, ending with the one who sows discord among brothers. The list rewards slowing down, partly because so much of it concerns the eyes, the tongue and the feet rather than dramatic wrongdoing. What God's character rules out turns out to be ordinary and close to home.
