About this sermon
The question is easy to ask and hard to answer honestly: when God comforts someone, what is actually happening? This first part opens the subject rather than settling it, laying groundwork for the follow-up the next Saturday. It also starts a longer winter thread that goes on to take up God's grace and God's works in turn.
