The study of false teaching widens from teachers to the doctrines themselves — Hebrews 13's warning against being carried about with various and strange doctrines. Nick Greenman retells 1 Kings 13, where a man of God is talked out of a plain command by an older prophet claiming an angel had spoken, and dies for it: sincerity was no protection. Chris Kramer's refrain is "show me the receipts" — the Bereans searching the scriptures, and Colossians 2 on man-made rules that look wise and change nothing.
