Be Understanding

Understanding is easy to praise and hard to practice. It asks patience with people whose reasoning we do not share, and restraint from anyone quick with an answer.

This Sunday-morning sermon asks how understanding is cultivated rather than assumed: what it costs the listener, where the willingness to seek it comes from, and why it matters so much for people who share a life together in a congregation.
