James 2:1-7
About this sermon
James imagines two visitors arriving at an assembly and the instinct to seat one well and the other badly. The study treats that scene as a test of faith rather than a question of manners, and follows the reversal in the passage — God choosing the poor of this world to be rich in faith — through to its blunt conclusion about who actually oppresses whom.
