The Royal Law

James 2:8-13

About this sermon

James calls loving your neighbor as yourself the royal law, then makes an uncomfortable point about it: whoever keeps the whole law and stumbles at one point is guilty of all. The study follows that logic to the closing line, where mercy triumphs over judgment, and asks how people who expect to be judged by the law of liberty ought to speak and act in the meantime.
