Various Trials
James 1:1-5
About this sermon
The opening of James asks readers to treat trials as something other than misfortune, on the grounds that testing produces patience and that patience has a finishing work to do. This first session also introduces the letter's offer of wisdom to anyone who lacks it and asks God for it, which sets the terms for much of what follows in the study.
