About this sermon
Paul opens his letter with one long sentence of blessing: chosen before the foundation of the world, predestined to adoption, accepted in the beloved. This first lesson in a new series sets out those terms carefully — a text churches of Christ read corporately, of the body chosen in Christ, rather than as individual decree — and asks what praise of God's glory looks like in response.
