About this sermon
Paul tells the Ephesians they have obtained an inheritance, then describes the guarantee that comes with it: the Holy Spirit given as a seal and a down payment until the redemption of the purchased possession. The lesson follows that language closely, asking what an inheritance secured in advance means for how believers live now, and why the passage keeps returning to the praise of God's glory.
