The middle wall of partition comes down in these verses, and two groups with every reason to stay apart are made into one new man. Peace here is not a mood but a person. The paragraph closes with a building metaphor - apostles and prophets for a foundation, Christ as the cornerstone, the whole structure growing into a dwelling place for God.
