About this sermon
Proverbs 26 teaches by picture: snow in summer, a thorn in a drunkard's hand, a dog returning to what it left behind. This study takes the chapter's images of the fool, the sluggard and the meddler and asks what each comparison is doing — why wisdom literature reaches so often for the natural world to make a point stay put.
