The proof texts, taken one at a time. Psalm 51 is deferred to a program of its own, but not before both men press the translation question in verse 5, where the New King James and the NIV pull in different directions, and ask whether Hebrew poetry can carry a doctrine at all. Ephesians 2 and Romans 7 follow, with Nick Greenman arguing that "grace alone" and "faith alone" cannot both be true in the same sentence.
